HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Today is my birthday, and I've turned 20 years old. No longer a teenager! Today for my birthday I celebrated with my family at home. We had a good meal of enchiladas, my favorite food, and then I got to watch one of my favorite shows air its season 6 beginning - Smallville (Zod). It was a pretty good episode, and a pretty good birthday, too. God Bless!

HEROES on NBC

Wow! This show looks like it is gonna rock! I love anything to do with superheroes. Superman is my all-time favorite superhero, hence why I love Smallville and Lois & Clark, but this show is in a whole other dimension. I already like Claire Bennett. She is a great character. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Avatar The Last Airbender

Today the first season of Avatar The Last Airbender came out on DVD! Avatar is an animated show on Nickelodeon and it has been one of my favorites from its first airing. Finally, Book 1: Water came out on DVD, and I can enjoy all of the episodes again. Avatar is by far the best animated Nick show I have seen in a long while. God Bless!

My First Week of College Classes

This semester is going to be much easier than the last two semesters I have had. My sociology class is pretty self explanatory, and my math class only has little bits of homework. No studying required this time around it seems. This will be the last time I take math, and I’m glad of it. English, on the other hand, is being taught online this year, so that will be a new experience. I like it, though. I can set my own hours for the class.

September 11, 2001

On September 11, 2001, I remember sitting in my history class, watching the television that had been rolled in there and set up. I was watching history unfold before my eyes. I couldn't believe what had happened. Yesterday I saw a sign at an automotive shop that said, "We will never forget September 11th." A while ago I had seen United 93 and it was such a great movie. Very touching! I also saw The World Trade Center, which was quite good as well. May God Bless America in these years to come!

The Start of a New School Year

It is the start of the new school year here at my little ol' Iowa community college, and I'm excited about all my new second year classes. I've got several computer classes, math, and english. I'm hoping Math for Liberal Arts will be a pretty easy class, easily understood, that is. My computer classes will be fun because I'm great at computers. Can't wait for those classes! All in all, I'm looking forward to a great new school year! God Bless!
