HEROES: "Five Years Gone"

On tonight's awesome episode, Hiro and Ando went five years in the future and got to see the aftermath of the bomb. The first place they went was Isaac Mendez's apartment. There Hiro came across Future Hiro. From Future Hiro they learned that he had created this stringed timeline set up in Isaac's apartment, and he was looking for the loophole in the timeline that he could return to to undo the bomb. He had found the spot! He had teleported back to the subway that Peter had been on and had told him to save the cheerleader to save the world. Future Hiro told Hiro and Ando that Sylar had been the bomb. But before he could explain anything more, Homeland Security, along with Matt Parkman, barged in and arrested Hiro. Future Hiro and Ando got away, and then they teleported to Las Vegas in search of Peter Petrelli, the only man who could help them retrieve Hiro.

Matt Parkman, who is basically in control of Homeland Security and works for the President, interrogates Hiro and finds that he doesn't remember anything that he's done in the last five years. Meanwhile in Las Vegas, Future Hiro and Ando meet with Niki, Peter's girlfriend. Apparently Micah was killed in the bomb, and DL is dead as well. Future Hiro asks to speak to Peter because he needs his help in stopping the bomb. Niki tells them to leave, so they go to visit Mr. Bennet instead. Later we see Peter talking with Niki, and Peter now has his scar. But what is it from?

At the White House, Nathan Petrelli, now the President of the US, has a discussion with Professor Suresh about killing off the "special" people before another Sylar incident occurs. Suresh tells Nathan that even if he had 20 years, a cure would not be found. So Nathan devises a plan to get rid of all the "special" people before another Sylar can destroy the world.

Future Hiro and Ando go to visit Mr. Bennet and tell him that Peter Petrelli saved Claire in the past because of what Future Hiro told him. They explain to him that they need people to help with Hiro's breakout. Mr. Bennet says he will be back. He doesn't go to get the people they need, though. Instead he goes to visit his daughter. At the restaurant where she works, he tells her to leave as soon as possible. She says she can't because she is getting married to a man named Andy. Mr. Bennet still urges her to leave as soon as possible.

Mohinder Suresh, who has now come to New York, goes to Isaac's apartment and sees the timeline. He discovers that Peter Petrelli was telling the truth that day on the subway. Future Hiro had traveled back in time and changed the past and the future.

Back at Mr. Bennet's place, Ando asks Future Hiro some questions about himself, but before Future Hiro can answer, he is shot with a taser gun by Matt Parkman. Homeland Security moves in to arrest the two comrades, but Peter Petrelli appears, stops time, and then teleports the three of them out of there and back to Las Vegas.

Back in Las Vegas, Peter tells Ando the truth about what happened to him. He died in the bomb, and after his death, Hiro lost his sense of hope. Peter tells Ando that Hiro's real reason for going back in time is to save his friend.

Back at Mr. Bennet's place, he returns to find Matt Parkman there. They had made a deal before that Mr. Bennet could help the harmless "special" people but turn in the harmful ones to Parkman. Now Parkman decides to break that deal. He pulls a gun on Mr. Bennet and demands to know where Claire has been hiding. He finds out just before he shoots him.

Back at the restaurant, Claire asks her fiancee to elope with her. He goes to get his things, but she is caught by Matt Parkman and taken to meet her father, Nathan. At the Petrelli Mansion, Claire has a meeting with her father. He declares that he is the most "special" person of them all, and then he stops Claire in her tracks before she can leave. He raises his hand, and begins to cut through her forehead. Sylar says that he has been waiting for this moment for a long time.

When Future Hiro finally awakens, he has a nice talk with Ando. In the other room, however, Peter is having a heated discussion with Niki. He finally confesses to her that he was the bomb! Nathan had only made the world believe that it was Sylar to protect him. But now he had a chance to change that, so he left with Future Hiro and Ando to go rescue Hiro.

Nathan Petrelli (Sylar) now stands before the world and announces that he has found a cure. Meanwhile, Suresh visits Hiro in his holding chambers and brings with him the cure. Hiro begs him not to inject him with it because he has to stop the bomb. Suresh apologizes and then sticks the needle in the Haitian. The Haitian falls down dead. Downstairs, Future Hiro, Ando, and Peter fight their way to the top past Parkman and his security.

(About the Future: With Claire dead before Peter saved her, Sylar lived. Hiro was the one that stabbed him with his sword, but because Sylar had taken Claire's power, he regenerated and lived. But Hiro went back to the past and told Peter to save her. He did, but Sylar still hasn't been killed, so he is still alive. Because Claire now lives, Sylar can be killed by Hiro. His mission now is to return to the past and run his sword through Sylar, ridding the world of him at last. Through Isaac's drawings of the 9th Wonders comics, Hiro discovers how to kill Sylar. Isaac was a HERO before his death. But what about the bomb? How is Claire connected to that? How do they stop it? It is Peter that blows up, not Sylar. But is Sylar somehow intertwined in the future of the bomb?)

Once Future Hiro, Ando, and Peter make it to the top, Ando is reunited with Hiro and they are told to leave. Future Hiro agrees to transport them back, but he is soon shot by Parkman and dies. Meanwhile, back at the assembly, the President answers an urgent phone call from Parkman that says the Haitian is down and they need reinforcements to capture Hiro. Nathan/Sylar makes a quick decision, and in front of millions, he flys off. Once he arrives, he reaches his hand in through the door and pulls out Peter. (Sylar must have killed DL) Peter knows that his brother doesn't have the power to walk through walls, so he asks who he is. The illusion disappears and Sylar faces Peter. Peter's hands turn to fire, and Sylar's turn to what looks like the radiation spark from Sprague. They walk towards each other and engage in a fight.

With Hiro dead and Peter gone, Suresh holds back the door and urges Hiro to leave. Finally when it seems too late, Hiro and Ando transport back to the past, before the bomb goes off. Hiro's last comment is, "Now comes the hard part," and thus ends the episode.

It was a pretty sweet episode that revealed how Sylar could be killed and why saving the cheerleader was so important. But I get the feeling that Sylar is connected in some way to the bomb. Since it is Peter who is the bomb, how will he be stopped?

Only Next Monday Will Tell!!!

*~* TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY *~*

A friend just told me today about the new Tomb Raider coming out at the end of May. I hadn't even thought to look. I hadn't heard anything about a new one. But when I looked it up, I was surprised to find that my long awaited Tomb Raider dream had come true!

When Angel of Darkness (6) came out, I wondered why the newly revamped version was worse than the original. How could a simple PlayStation version hold so much more? Why had the Tomb Raider video game artists veered away from the mystery, suspense, intrigue, and down-right enjoyable locations that the original seemed to hold? There wasn't any more fear about turning a corner, hoping that a mummy wouldn't jump out and scare you out of your shoes. There was no joy in entering a new level that seemed altogether different from the previous one. All of it looked the same, and I never jumped once.

Tomb Raider: The Original was too good to beat. It had everything! And ever since that first one, the Tomb Raider games have gone downhill. Sure the graphics have gotten better, but what happened to the elements that made Tomb Raider great in the first place? Who ever heard of a Tomb Raider game that you could beat in less than 3 hours like Tomb Raider Legend? Or such a poorly designed and put together game like Tomb Raider Chronicles? Sure the length of Tomb Raider Revelation was great, but it was all the same location. Sand, sand, sand! It got a little boring!

But Tomb Raider: The Original had it all! It made me jump, made my heart race fast as I turned each corner, made me keep my guns at the ready, and kept me looking around at the new levels that always seemed to change! The story rocked, the characters rocked, the locations rocked: it ALL rocked!

So when Angel of Darkness came, sure there was some disappointment, but there was also a hope that in the future, when the graphics were better and her moves were expanded, the video game artists would get an idea in their heads to revamp THE ORIGINAL!!! Wouldn't it be great to see those same locations richer, more vibrant, and filled with more traps and puzzles! Well...now comes the part where my dream comes true! THEY HAVE FINALLY DONE IT!!!

Tomb Raider Anniversary is the original revamped, redone, regraphiced, and made more exciting - or so we hope! I have been waiting for this day for years! Now we finally get to see the original the way it was intended to be! I'm hoping that all the original elements that made the first one so great will be incorporated in this newly refurbished edition! The month of May can not come soon enough! I still can't believe that they have actually done this! It's what I've been waiting for! And now I only have a month more to wait! Already it seems like too long of a wait!

Smallville: "NEMESIS"

In tonight's episode, Lex Luthor was trapped in underground tunnels by an angry woman who claimed that Lex lied about her husband's death and secretly kept him locked away in one of his facilities. Lex's captor had set off a bomb, trapping Lex in there with her. The explosion went off near Lionel and banged him up pretty badly. When Lionel is found by police, he talks Clark into going down after Lex because the police won't go until the area is secured and wiped clean of explosives.

While Clark Kent is looking for Lex, Mr. Luthor is having a talk with his captor. He tells her that her husband didn't die in a chopper crash as she'd been told, but he had died from an M-16 being fired at close range. In her anger, she sets off another bomb, killing her and covering Lex in rubble. When Clark gets there, he is thrown back by the bomb and meteor rocks come crumbling down all around him.

When Clark gets up and finds Lex, the two have a heated conversation while Clark bandages up his arm. (Because of the meteor rock all throughout the tunnels, he is in bad shape and bleeding, giving no sign of his true invincibility.)

While all of this is going on, Lana meets with Lionel Luthor in the hospital and demands to get some answers about why he threatened her and trapped her in a marriage with Lex. Lionel tells her that he was only protecting Clark.

Lex and Clark, now on a mission to get out of there before the timed bombs set to explode in less than 20 minutes, start making their way through the tunnels. They come to a gate that is locked and stop. Clark sits down, and seconds later a bunch of rubble comes falling down onto him, trapping him underneath it. The rubble also breaks the gate open, and Lex leaves Clark to fend for himself.

It is at this time that Chloe finds out that the tunnels are filled with kryptonite rocks and dust. She goes to the Luthor mansion in search of Lana. Lana, who obtained a case from her husband's car about the tunnels, finds the blueprints to the tunnels inside the case and the plans that Lex has for them. When Chloe arrives, she tells Lana about Clark's impending doom, so Lana shows Chloe the schematics. It is clear that Lana had no intention of turning the blueprints over to the police. But when Chloe tells Lana about Clark being in danger, Lana moves quickly into action.

Clark is pinned down by the rubble and can't move it by himself no matter how hard he tries. But just when he is about to give it one more shot, Lex returns with a pipe to lift the rubble off of Clark. Surprised, Clark gets up and follows Lex down the tunnel, up a ladder, and out of the underground just in time.

When police arrive on the scene, Lana is there to greet Clark first. But soon she sees Lex and walks into his embrace. When Clark is going over the blueprints and plans that Lex had for the tunnels, he comes to the conclusion that Lex may have actually been doing some good by wanting to build a water treatment center.

Lana visits Lionel Luthor once more and asks how his threatening her into a marriage with Lex was a way to protect Clark. Lionel doesn't tell her, but instead asks her to trust him. That night Lana talks with Lex about her meeting with Clark before their wedding day. He had found out about it from Clark in the tunnels. Instead of telling the truth, Lana trusts Lionel and tells Lex a lie about how she felt something was wrong with the baby and didn't know if Lex would love her anymore if she lost it. Lies, Lies, LIES!!! Their marriage is built upon it!

At the end of the episode, we get the truth about Lex's captor's husband. Lex is housing him alive in his facilities and doing tests on him.

The last three episodes are to come - Noir, Prototype, and Phantom!!! Keep Watching!!!

NEW MONITOR - HORRIBLE MONITOR

I just bought a new monitor off of Ebay, but when I got it, I noticed that it was terribly fuzzy. It is really hurting my eyes. So what am I doing? I'm selling it back on Ebay. Maybe I could get more for it than what I paid. If not, oh well, it's a loss then. But the good news is that I bought another monitor, a 19" LCD Flatscreen with way better resolution and built in speakers. Fantastic! I hope this one is better!

AI *~* Top 6 *~* & IDOL GIVES BACK

This week was all about the inspiring, compassionate songs in commemoration of IDOL GIVES BACK. Honestly, this week was pretty boring. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but...AI was more interesting when Sanjaya was on it. Now I don't even look forward to it that much. Melinda is a shoo-in to win, so who cares? Anyway, here is this weeks polls.

(1) Chris Richardson - Randy said he was in it to win it; Paula said he was fantastic and picked a great song; and Simon said that the competition properly started tonight, and that Chris was soulful and had a good vocal for the song.

(2) Melinda Doolitte - Should I just skip her? I think we all know what they will say...but, anyway...Randy said that she's got it all together and is a serious pro; Paula said that there is no one like her and called her magical; and Simon told her to not act surprised when he said that she was incredible, had great vocals, was in the master class, didn't copycat the song, and made him believe that she had recorded it originally.

(3) Blake Lewis - Randy said that he chose an amazing song (No, John Lennon's song about there not being a heaven or a hell...well, guess where he ended up?) and did an OK performance; Paula said that she enjoyed and and could finally see some emotion in him; and Simon said that it was sincere.

(4) LaKisha Jones - Randy said it was a good song choice; Paula said that she is a powerhouse of vocals but the song just couldn't compare to the Fantasia version; and Simon said that he prefers Fantasia, still has an issue with her shouting, but found her confident in a good song choice.

(5) Phil Stacey - Randy said that it was a solid performance and a very good song; Paula said that it was his best (last week, Country Week, was his BEST!!!); and Simon said that last week suited him better.

(6) Jordin Sparks - Randy said that she was one of the best vocals ever on the show in six seasons and was the hottest that night; Paula said that she did a lovely job, was glorious, and had great vocals; and Simon said that she was fantastic and could have a record right now.

It was a good night, but a little boring. I didn't really like any of the songs. Maybe next week will be better.

Tonight for Idol Gives Back, NO CONTESTANTS were sent home. Two will be sent home next week!

HEROES: ".07%"

FINALLY HEROES IS BACK!!!
The long wait is OVER!!!
And the new episode was AWESOME!!!

Peter Petrelli, who we left in Sylar's clutches weeks ago, now faces off with Sylar, but he soon gets stuck in the head with a shard of glass that kills him. Mohinder Suresh, after freed from the ceiling, smashes a chalkboard into Sylar and then makes off with Peter's body before Sylar can do his dirty work. Mohinder takes the body to the Petrelli family where Claire Bennet awaits to meet her father.

Nathan Petrelli has a nice talk with Linderman about his future in the White House as President of the U.S. Linderman then reveals that he has a healing power, but unlike Claire, he heals the things around him instead of himself. Linderman then talks about the bomb and how it could serve for a good purpose of pulling people together in a time of crisis and all that. After Nathan's meeting with Linderman, he returns home to find that Peter is dead.

Nathan and his mother both grieve over Peter. Claire Bennet, who is staying at the Petrelli's, comes down the stairs and sees that Peter is dead. She finally sees her father face-to-face, and she asks to be alone with Peter for a minute. While she is near him, she sees that a shard of glass is lodged in the back of his head, and she pulls it out. Because Peter has Claire's power, he instantly comes back to life. Peter and Claire share a moment where Peter says that she saved his life and she says that now they're even.

Later on that night, Nathan talks to Claire about the election and how he can't have her there until after he wins. In the last scene with the two of them, we see Nathan holding his daughter.

On the other side of things, HRG (Mr. Bennet) was held in a cell by his employers, but he soon devises a plan. Through thinking his plan, Mr. Bennet leads Parkman to break out, free Ted Sprague, and spring himself before it is too late. His boss was going to kill him, Sprague, and Parkman, but now the three devise a plan to shut down the system and stop their evil ways.

As a side note, Linderman later talks to Niki/Jessica and tells her that he needs Micah for an operation. She says NO, but through the use of Bennet's previous partner, "Niki/Jessica" introduces Micah to Linderman and hands the boy over for Linderman's operation.

Now for the death of a HERO. Sadly, Isaac Mendez can't escape his fate, his destiny, his call to be a HERO. Through his death by Sylar's hand, the HEROES will be given the blueprint on how to stop the bomb and kill Sylar. When Hiro originally transported to New York, he saw Isaac dead and also saw the bomb. Isaac's death served the purpose of directing Hiro in his quest. We may not know the full extent of the impact of Isaac's death yet, but we soon will.

The last part of the episode was about Hiro and Ando. They had transported 5 years into the future after the bomb, and the first place they went was Isaac's place. They had hoped to find that he was not dead, but instead Hiro met Hiro.

Next week will be all about the consequences and the aftermath of the bomb if it goes off and if the HEROES fail. Will they fail?

Smallville: "PROGENY"

The last of the new episodes for Season SIX are now airing until May 17th. And to start off the roll was a great episode about Chloe's mother.

For the past 5 season we have been lead to believe that Chloe's mother was mental, but tonight we found out that she was recently taken under the care of Lex, given a drug to make her mind clear, and then prodded for her ability. Her ability was that she could control meteorfreaks by holding in her hand one of their possessions. Chloe, who was controlled by her mom to find clues, pieces together what her mother lead her to in order to find her. But when Chloe goes searching, she is caught and put in a cell with her mother. Together, the both of them attempt to escape. It is Clark Kent that saves them and rescues them both at the last minute. But when Chloe and her mother are together at last, Mrs. Sullivan begins to drift back into her previous mental state. At least Chloe was able to talk to her mother.

On the other side of things, Lana gets hurt by a meteorfreak that Mrs. Sullivan had sent after Lex Luthor, and Clark whisks her away to the hospital. Clark is the first person she tells about the baby being miscarried. And later in the night, Lana has tests done and finds out some rather disturbing news. Her vitamins that she took while pregnant were not vitamins but synthetic hormones. They were used to fake her pregnancy and push her into a marriage that she did not want. She was NEVER pregnant! Now that she knows the whole gruesome truth about her husband, she finds herself truly trapped.

At the end of the episode, Lex Luthor threatens Chloe, telling her to not print her story about what happened. Chloe later tells Clark about her encounter with Lex, and Clark says that they must wait until Lana is safe and out of Lex's reach, then the inevitable will happen. The war will begin!

Another great Smallville episode! Can't wait till next week!

American Idol *~* Top 7 *~*

It was Country Week on American Idol, and where others did great, there were those that paled greatly in comparison! Let's break it down.

The Good

(1) Phil Stacey - while during other weeks he's done bad, this week was awesome! i loved his performance, and so did the judges! Randy said that he could have a country career; Paula said that country was a good genre for him; and Simon said that it suited him, but it took him 10 weeks to get it!

(2) Jordin Sparks - Fantastic as always! Randy said she was the bomb; Paula said that she was gorgeous and fantastic; and Simon said that for the first time he believed, based on her performance, that she could win American Idol!!! Sweet!

(6) Melinda Doolittle - Amazing as always! And ever so humble! While others think her humble spirit and shy nature are annoying each week, I find it refreshing, an inspiration, and a great witness for God! Anyway, Randy said that it was another solid performance from AI's resident pro; Paula said that once again she sang her heart out like there was no tomorrow; and Simon said that she was fantastic and had attitude, but she needs to lose the surprise! Yeah, a little.

(7) Blake Lewis - Although not his best (his best was "The Time of the Season") it was still good and okay. Randy said that he chose the right song and had a good arrangement for it; Paula said that it was a good song, good choreography on his part, and that he has the whole package; and Simon said that it wasn't his greatest and was okay.

The Bad

(5) Chris Richardson - He was okay this week, but honestly I just didn't like his performance at all! Randy said that he didn't feel a connection and that there was no emotion; Paula said that there was no joy or love in the performance; and Simon said that it was a nasally vocal, had no impact, and was insignificant.

The Ugly

(3) Sanjaya Malakar - Horrible as always! Randy said that it was bland, boring, and karaokeish; Paula said that his vocals were off; and Simon said that it was utterly horrendous, horrible, and hideous just like the beginning auditions for AI. Yeah, Simon was right this week, and we all know it!

(4) LaKisha Jones - Normally I would NEVER put LaKisha under The Ugly heading, but this week, whoo, she was not good at all! She took on one of the most popular songs out there. Jesus Take The Wheel by Carrie Underwood. With her voice, it did not fit at all! And the judges noticed, too, as did the rest of America! Randy said it was pitchy and she could've done more with it; Paula said that it didn't fit with her voice so it sounded shouted; and Simon said that her and the song DID NOT go together, it wasn't natural, and was the wrong choice! Yeah, LaKisha was NOT good this week at all. I just hope she can kick it up a serious notch! She was awesome in the beginning! What happened?

American Idol *~* Top 8 *~* & KickOFF

We are down to the Top 8 now, and, sadly, Sanjaya is still on the show. He probably won't be gone this week or the next, but maybe the third week from now we will see him off! I'm hoping!

This week:

THE GOOD
(1) Melinda Doolittle - Simon didn't like it, though, and said it appeared too old
(2) LaKisha Jones - Simon and Randy said it was a safe song; Simon said her dancing was bad
(3) Chris Richardson - HOT! Simon said not best vocal but he made it contemporary
(6) Jordin Sparks - Yo Factor; Authentic and Adorable; Simon said it was okay, had nothing stunning about it, and had no progression
(7) Blake Lewis - Best of the Night!

THE BAD
(4) Haley Scarnato - Karaoke style, not a singer's song, bad vocals, Simon said that her strategy was to wear as little as possible because it isn't her voice that is keeping her on AI
(5) Phil Stacey - Not best, boring, good vocal, but no originality

THE UGLY
(8) Sanjaya Malakar - Randy said he was one of the smartest contestants and thought his performance was really good, Paula said it was smooth and nice, and Simon said that he couldn't understand a word, he sung it like a 14-year-old, but that it wasn't horrible - Sadly, I have to agree. It wasn't his worst, but I still don't like him at all!

If you want to watch their performances and hear more of what the judges had to say, go to IdolStarTV.com and watch all the videos you want.

KICKOFF

Haley Scarnato is finally gone! That was a relief to see! But the real night I'm waiting for is Sanjaya's last! Oh, I hope it is soon!

~*~Ascension Convention 2007~*~

For my sixth consecutive year to Chicago, Illinois for Ascension Convention, I had a great room. The only problem with my room this year was that there were five of us and I got to sleep on the floor, but I didn't mind. I had so much fun that the sleeping arrangement didn't make a dent in my thoughts. I was focused on God for this weekend. And He did amazing things! With great speakers like Reggie Dabs, Dave Perkins, Garth Heckman, and more, this AC was fantastic! And there were also great worship teams like CLC Worship, 1-Nation Youth Choir, and the rapper John Reuben. It was pretty cool! I also got great pictures! The whole weekend was powerful and wonderful! I loved it so much that I didn't want to leave, and I even wished over and over that I could just be raptured away and go to Heaven! I'm homesick for Heaven. I look to the sky and anxiously await the day when my Savior will return!

On Sunday after AC'07, I went to church for an awesome Resurrection Weekend service! It was so powerful, and I got to sing a solo. I sang "The Glory" by Avalon this year, and boy was it powerful! I sang it to God alone, and I could feel His power and majesty surrounding me as I sang. Others could, too, because my parents were both crying when they reached me after the service. And Pastor Dave told me that that was the difference between singing and singing from the soul. It was utterly amazing! God moved through me, and I couldn't be more happy about that! Thank You, Lord, for using me!

~*~ His Continuing Endurance ~*~

Before leaving for Ascension Convention 2007, I wanted to share something I had written a while back. At the end of February 2006, I had received a wonderful idea from my Lord and Savior for an amazing analogy "story" of His grace and love through His sacrifice. It is entitled "Does No One See Him Take My Place." It is nine pages long, so I will not post it here, but I will post an addition to the story that I wrote only a few short months after that. It is pasted below. What I have written is what I believe to be true about our Savior. He did so much more than just dying on a cross. He took Hell for us, too! I hope this touches you, makes you think, and makes you feel loved. For our Savior loves us more than we can ever fathom!

His Continuing Endurance For Our Love

“The Wages of Sin is Death.” We’ve all heard that verse, but have we ever stopped to think about what it means. Our sins deserve death and eternal death. Two deaths. If Jesus were to take our punishment and ransom us from death, He had to die twice! The Bible says that He was in the grave for three days. But what about the punishment of our eternal grave in Hell? Jesus talked about Hell several times throughout His ministry, and the Bible mentions Hell as filled with Fire and with the Gnashing of Teeth. Hell was conveyed as the eternal punishment for sin. So if Jesus were to truly ransom us from death, He would’ve had to take our Eternal Punishment in Hell. By His faith He condensed Everyone’s—Past, Present, and Future—Eternal Punishment in the Fires of Hell into three days. His Love is amazing alone through His scourging and through His death on the Cross, but what about after His death? If that were true that He ransomed us from Hell itself, ONE Second in Hell wouldn’t have even compared to all of the earthly torments He endured! Can you even imagine and fathom your Savior in Hell being tormented and tortured for your eternal punishment? No wonder the demons fear His Name! He defeated Hell! Our Hell! He took it ALL!

But His Love doesn’t stop there. In the same verse, “The Wages of Sin is Death,” we see that the punishment is Death. Not suffering but death. Just Death! Jesus could’ve just died on that cross or been killed in some other less inhuman way. All He had to do was die, but He didn’t. He suffered! Why? As the Bible says, Jesus came to give us Life and Life More Abundantly. The Life was our Eternal Life in Heaven that he purchased for us when He died and took our Eternal Punishment in Hell. The Life More Abundantly was purchased when He suffered, when His skin was ripped to shreds, and when His blood poured. His suffering was for our Peace, Hope, Joy, Health, Strength, and More! So Much More! His Love did not stop at taking our Eternal Hell Punishment, it continued into His suffering for our Abundant Life! Now that is Amazing! Before experiencing extreme and excruciating suffering in Hell, He was tormented and tortured on the Earth by those He was dying for! His Love is Indescribable, Incomparable, Inimitable, Unfathomable, Untamable, Unsurpassed, Unparalleled, Unrivaled, Matchless, Unique, and Perfect! Words cannot describe Him! Words cannot describe His Love!

But His Love does not even stop there! He loved us before He made us. He saw the ENTIRE future of every life He was to create before He created us. Before He created the world! While there was still the abyss of complete darkness! He saw it ALL! He saw everything He would have to do to hold us in His arms. He saw His suffering, His death, His torment in Hell, and our Unruly Lives of Unthankfulness! Yet He chose to create us, to die for us, to take our eternal punishment, and to continue to chase us while we ignore Him. There are no words! His Love is the Highest and Purest Love there was, is, and ever could be! So, Love Him! Thank Him! He created you, He suffered for you, He died for you, He took your eternal punishment in Hell, and He is still there, chasing you!

~*~ The Love of Our Savior ~*~

It is almost Resurrection Weekend (known to this world as Easter), and I couldn't be more excited. Once again, for my sixth consecutive year, I am going to Chicago, Illinois for Ascension Convention, a celebration of our Savior! And there is much to be celebrated!

This last Tuesday, I got up early with the express intent to watch The Passion of the Christ. It had been two years since I last watched that amazing film, and I knew that I had waited long enough to watch it again. Once more, it moved me to tears at seeing what my Jesus did for me. He took my sin, my shame, my pain, my sorrow, all of my wrongs, my missteps, and my failings upon Himself to save my soul from Hell itself. Only the Lord Jesus Christ, who was perfect in every way, without sin, and being eternal could take upon Himself the transgressions of the world and have them eternally spent out and punished on the cross and in Hell. Isn't it amazing what He did for us? It still boggles my mind! And all I can do is give Him my all and love Him till the day I die and then into eternity. To live is Christ. To die is gain!

Since it is almost Resurrection Weekend, as we in our household call it, I wanted to share this video with you. It is a music video set to The Passion of the Christ movie with the song "How Great is Our God" sung by Chris Tomlin. Watch it and remember what this time of year is really about. It is all about Him! Every day is all about Him!
