American Idol Guys' Night (10)

On Thursday, February 22nd, four people were voted off, leaving us with only 20 contestants. They were Amy Krebs, Nicole Tranquillo, Rudy Cardenas, and Paul Kim. Sorry to see them leave, but it's gotta happen.

Last night, Tuesday, was the Guys' Night again. Last week wasn't so good. The girls rocked the house while the boys were a disappointment. In my opinion, this week wasn't tremendously better, but it was better. The girls still kick butt! Six of the girls have what it takes to go all the way! But, anyway, about the guys...

In order of performance

(1) Phil Stacey, the bald guy, has a good voice that he needs to show off more. At the beginning of his song, he was okay, but fortunately near the end he picked it up some. He can still do much better, though. Simon said that he had an unoriginal voice, and I can see that. His voice is good but pretty average. He needs to show us that it's not!

(3) A.J. Tabaldo was definitely better than last week because this week I actually noticed him! Last week I didn't give him a second glance. Simon's comment was that he was actually...nearly...very good. He's sure to stay. I just hope he keeps getting better!

(5) Chris Sligh is one of the guys I've liked from the beginning, and I still like him. He had good reviews again this week, but he still hasn't totally wowed America. Will he next week? He's sure to be back again.

(7) Blake Lewis, the bebop and scatting guy, was great this week! He bebopped in his song, which was awesome to hear, but Simon says that he did a copy-cat performance - little originality except for the beboxing. Oh well...he still rocks!

(8) Brandon Rogers, the black dude with the big hair, has been one of my favs since the beginning as well. I like his voice and could see him going far, but this week he didn't show off his talent. His song was okay but it lacked the wow factor! But I'm positive that he will stay anyway.

(9) Chris Richardson, the guy that sounds and even looks like Justin Timberlake, sang excellent on Tuesday! Randy said that he is in it to win it and that his version of the song was hotter than the original. Go Chris! Simon also said that he was the best one that night by a mile...until...

(10) Sundance Head through me for a loop last night! He didn't quite impress me last week, but this week, he was the best, I thought! He sang the song "Mustang Sally" and he sang it great! Everyone else thought so, too, except Simon. He liked it, but he said that Sundance could do better. I believe he can. Hopefully next week he'll wow us even more!

Well...that's only 7 of the 10 guys that I talked about. The others are sure to be gone either Thursday or soon. My prediction for Thursday is that Sanjaya Malakar and Jared Cotter will be voted off. We'll see, though.

Good job, guys, but the gals still rock more!

***~BLOG OF THE DAY~***

WOW! I can't believe that I'm blog of the day on PayPerPost for February 28, 2007. That is so cool! I never would have thought that they would pick me after only about three weeks at PayPerPost.

My History with PPP:

On December 25, 2006 at our Christmas party my cousin Jake Sankey (Blog:
sankeynewsblog.blogspot.com) introduced me and my family to PayPerPost for the first time. I was very excited to get started, but first I had to get my blog indexed in google. That took until the beginning of February. Once I was indexed, I put my blog in PPP and it was accepted that day. I started posting paid posts the next day and have since had 22 posts accepted (over $200 coming my way). It's great! I love PPP! I have been low on cash since the beginning of the year, so this is a great way to make some extra money. THANKS PPP!

I love being BLOG OF THE DAY!!!

HEROES: "Company Man"

Monday night's episode of HEROES was a terrific thriller! Each time I watch this show, I feel like I am watching a movie, a movie with serious cliffhangers and plot twists! Once again I have to say that HEROES is the best show on TV right now. I love it!

Company Man

Anyway..."Company Man" was all about the Bennet family and H.R.G.'s past. Ted Sprague (Radiation Man) and Matt Parkman (Mind-Reader) took the Bennet family hostage to gain information from H.R.G. Things went awry when Ted pointed the gun at Claire's mother, demanding answers immediately. H.R.G. quickly told Parkman through his thoughts to shoot Claire so that the rest of his family would be safe. Parkman obeyed, and Claire ended up in her room as healthy as ever but without her mother and brother knowing that she was still alive.

H.R.G. made a deal with Parkman through his thoughts, and so Matt and H.R.G. left to go visit the paper factory for the truth. Ted stayed with the rest of the family, continuing to hold them hostage until they returned.

Also, in between these parts of the episode, clips from the past were shown about H.R.G. and Claude Raines (The Invisible Man) who were partners in the "paper factory." The paper factory was a cover-up for the real nature of their business which was in studying and "helping" those who had special abilities. But the catch was that they had to disclose all information to the company. Claude went against that to hide one of his own kind, and so H.R.G. had to dispose of him; but we all know that he lived. Maybe H.R.G. isn't such a bad guy after all?

Back in the real world, H.R.G. and Matt picked up the information they needed and even confronted the Haitian about the truth of his speech. Supposedly he was mute, but that's not true anymore, so H.R.G. learned that he had been hiding Claire from the company and keeping her mind untapped.

When the trio returned to the house, Claire was tied up with her mother. She had tried to help her mother and brother escape, but only Lyle managed to make a run for it. But now both her mother and brother know the truth...that she is invincible.

Matt and H.R.G. presented Ted with the information he wanted but not the information he wanted to hear. H.R.G. and his company did not do this to him, and, therefore, there was no cure. Ted was saddened by this and would have rather been dead before he had the chance to accidentally kill his wife with his radiation. But he did not get the chance to think on this for long because H.R.G.'s boss showed up and shot at his employee, setting Ted off.

Everyone went out of the house, but Claire stayed to tranquilize Ted before he could do horrific damage to the land. Claire came out of the house looking completely burnt up but then healed in front of her family, H.R.G.'s boss, and the neighborhood.

H.R.G.'s boss took over the situation and demanded that H.R.G. "dispose" of the Haitian and bring Claire in. Instead of doing that such thing, H.R.G. drove Claire out to meet with his partner so they could flee. So no doubt would be cast on her father, the Haitian shot him and left him on the bridge after wiping his memory of the event.

From this episode, we learned a lot about H.R.G. and his work. Although the company he works for may not be all bad, they still have their bad ideas about treatment of those with special abilities. As his boss said, they are walking on the morally gray line. But at least we now know that Claire's father, although in with the wrong crowd, had good intentions and protected her for as long as he could. It is evident that he kept her abilities a secret for her own safety and because he loved her. And to let her go would have been one of the hardest things to do. He is now one of my favorite characters. Complex but also a loving father.

Also, what about saving the cheerleader? Could it have been for such a time as that. Ted was about to literally go nuclear, and Claire was the only one who could reach him with the tranquilizer. What if she hadn't been saved by her uncle, Peter Petrelli? Then what? (Save the Cheerleader, Save the World!)

Right on NBC!!! Another great episode! Can't wait for more!

WILDFIRE

Tonight was a new episode of Wildfire on ABC Family. Another great but sad episode. SPOILER - RJ, Dani's boyfriend, died in a rodeo accident shortly after she told him that she loved him. Saddest part of the series, or what I've seen of it. But there was one thing that brightened up the show. Kris and Matt are finally together as a couple! I've only seen a couple episodes, but that was what I was waiting for! So glad I came in when I did. Next Monday is sure to be another good episode. I'll be sure to tune in.

Kelly Clarkson

When I first heard Kelly Clarkson, I thought that she was just another new artist. About a year later I finally found out that she was an American Idol winner. Cool! She's a great artist, so here are four of her music videos for you to enjoy. Four of my favorite songs from her!

A Moment Like This

Because of You

Since You Been Gone

Breakaway

War

I have never liked war, but I do believe that the war we are in has been necessary to rid a nation of an evil dictator who was killing off his people. Also, with every president, there are the goods and the bads. We can't just look at one person and blame them for everything that happens. Things will always go bad one way or another, so we need to take it or decide on what we need to do to make it better. Blaming one man never solved anything. If there needs to be something done, then get out there and do it!

Even from the other side of the opinion pool, we can gain some insight, so look into this
liberal forum for more views on the war.

Ice Storm in Iowa

Starting on Friday night with sleet, hail, and a freezing rain, Iowa has been bombarded with a nice ice storm over the weekend. Already we have received several inches of snow, and my church services were cancelled because of it. In all honesty, though, I wasn't complaining. It was a nice break for the weekend. The only problem now is that I have to do homework! Yuck! I just hope that school is cancelled on Monday. That would be some weekend! Again, I wouldn't be complaining!

Big News at PayPerPost

Something big is going to be happening at PayPerPost in the next month, but what could it be? Already PayPerPost has provided numerous opportunities to make money through their company. Users of PPP can make money with the "Review My Post" badges and the affiliate links, not to mention their awesome opportunities where you can make money blogging, so what else could PPP be announcing? Will it be another great way to make money? Will they be giving us a chance to take more posts in a day, or will there be many more opportunities available?

What else could PayPerPost do for us? Maybe they have something exciting set up for their advertisers that will affect the bloggers as well, giving us another great chance to make more money. Or what if they have a great new system to help bloggers get better traffic ratings or a higher google pagerank. It could be anything! But one thing I do know is that we won't be disappointed. PayPerPost has come through for us in the past and helped simple bloggers make a great sum of money by just writing a simple post.

PayPerPost is sure to surprise and delight us again, and I'm so excited to find out what they have in store for us now. So far, PayPerPost has made me $100, and I love it! Anything that they could come up with and bring out to us would be great! I'm definitely looking forward to this announcement!

So keep an eye out in the next weeks to come for some great new news from PayPerPost!

Carrie Underwood

I never saw the season of American Idol where Carrie Underwood won, but when I heard her song "Jesus, Take the Wheel" I knew that I would like her. Soon after that I got her CD and have found 3 songs that I really like. Each one has a music video, so here they all are: Before He Cheats, Wasted, & Jesus, Take the Wheel

"Confessions of a Broken Heart"

I used to like Lindsay Lohan, but now I don't care for her much any more. She's turned into a bad girl. But there were two good things that came from her. The best movie she ever did was "Just My Luck" and this is what I thought was her best song/video - "Confessions of a Broken Heart." A sad song with a unique message.

American Idol Girls' Night (12)

Well...last night was girls' night on AI, and, boy, was it a great night! So much better than the boys' night! WOW! There were 7 singers that stood out for me this time around! And after hearing their amazing voices, I am making a prediction about this year. THE AMERICAN IDOL THIS YEAR WILL BE A WOMAN!!! And if I'm wrong, I'll be mighty surprised! None of the guys could outsing over half of these girls, so they might as well pack up and go home! The guys sure have a lot to accomplish if they want to get any farther in this competition.

Moving on...to open up the night was Stephanie Edwards who did not disappoint! Simon gave her a great review, saying that she was one of the best.

After her, performing third, was Leslie Hunt. Although she was not one of the best, she was better than at least five of the girls that night, and she stuck out to me. She sang "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman," and it was a little too big of a song for her. But I think she still did great!

Performing fourth was Sabrina Sloan who received another of the best reviews from Simon. She was great, and I see her staying around for a long time to come!

Performing sixth was seventeen year old Jordin Sparks. She was terrific and also received great reviews! Can't wait to see what more she can sing!

Coming onto the stage at the ninth slot was Melinda Doolittle who used to be a background singer, but according to Simon's rave review, she is a background singer NO MORE! Simon said that she was a woman with amazing talent and little arrogance, completely opposite from most. She will definitely be staying around a long time as well.

Performing eleventh was Gina Glocksen, the cool girl with the red streak in her hair. I liked her from the beginning and after her rendition of "All By Myself," she's still a favorite of mine! Randy and Paula gave great reviews, but Simon...well...he's Simon.

And last but CERTAINLY not least, was the amazing winner of American Idol Season 6 LaKisha Jones! She sang "You're Gonna Love Me" from the movie Dreamgirls performed by Jennifer Hudson! Randy Jackson said, "Jennifer Hudson, watch out!" And Simon's remark was, "I'm very tempted to say to 23 people, 'book your plane tickets home right now!'" Simon said it. LaKisha is our next American Idol! She's got my vote all the way! I loved her first audition and I love all the rest! She ROCKS!!! Can't wait to see her reach the top!

As amazing as last night was, there is still one more person that shined during last year's season. She sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and blew America out of the water! Here is Katharine McPhee singing this great song...so much better than Taylor Hicks!

The Young and The Restless Soap

The Emmy Award winning The Young and the Restless debuted in 1973 featuring a storyline that focused on elegance, wealth, and big business. Since late 1988, the show has been the highest-rated serial in the daytime ratings and has aired over 8,900 episodes. From the beginning, The Young and the Restless stood out from other soaps on the air for its darkness. Soap operas at the time tended to be comparatively brightly-lit in tone. The Young and the Restless lighted primarily the actors, and not the background settings, so as to focus the attention of the viewer on the emotions of the actors.

At Soaps.com, the Soap fans of The Young and the Restless are invited to read in-depth daily recaps and updates and the most up-to-date news about the actors/actresses and the show. I'll Join The Rocks!!!

Today I could not get enough of FFH's song "I'll Join The Rocks." I just love the lyrics and the message that it sends to our Creator. This is how my heart is feeling right now that I'll join the rocks if I'm the last one singing! I'll worship Him forever! So sing on and take a listen to this awesome tune!

I'll join the rocks with their singing
I'll join the ocean as it harmonizes with the shore
I'll clap my hands with the mountains
As all creation cries for more
I'll never stop, if I'm the last one living
Your song goes on and on and I must testify
I know that I was born to worship
So if all the singing seems to stop

I'll join the rocks!

POP 2

Yesterday I played and beat Prince of Persia 2: Warrior Within for the first time. The reason I had waited so many years to beat it was because of its mature rating. I wasn't sure if it would be any good. But after waiting several years, I finally decided to give it a shot. I wasn't disappointed.

Yes, the reviewers were right, it was a lot darker from the first game, but it also had a cool storyline. I was surprised to find that I rather liked this game. The story continued pretty well after the Sands of Time, and I was worried that it wouldn't live up to its predecessor.

Although others may not think so, Warrior Within was not a total failure. Sure, it didn't have the same Prince vocals - which kinda made me mad - or the sweet sounding Arabian music with fantastically designed environments to go along with it, but it was a great addition to the Prince of Persia series. The plot was good, the action was good, the cutscenes were great, and the ending was complete. Although it may never beat Sands of Time - even the 3rd one couldn't beat it - it was still a great game! Thanks, Ubisoft!

American Idol Guys' Night (12)

Tonight on American Idol, it was guys' night for the 12 guy semi-finalists. While I didn't see any Chris Daughtry's, there were some okay guys. I'm still hung up on last year. Chris Daughtry was the best! So, I'm sorry if I seem a little biased about the guys this year. Chris Daughtry was such a talented singer and fun to listen to!

But, anyway, on Season 6 of AI tonight, we had some pretty good guys. A few of my favorites were Brandon Rogers (#2 to perform / the Black guy who rocked at his first audition!), Paul Kim (#4 to perform / the Asian who also rocked at his first audition!), Chris Richardson (#5 to perform / guy that looks like Justin Timberlake and sings like him, too / one of the best out of all, I think), Blake Lewis (#7 to perform / the bebop guy! Isn't he awesome!?), Chris Sligh (#9 to perform / the bigger guy that has a great voice!), and Phil Stacey (#12 to perform / the bald guy who was given the best vocals of the night "award" by Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul - Simon didn't like it as much / big surprise there!). So far there are six guys that I like. The rest were okay. We'll see who gets better as things progress.

But for now, listen to the awesome Chris Daughtry, the guy who should have won AI Season 5!

HEROES: "Unexpected"

Last night's HEROES was a great one! They just keep getting better and better with greater cliffhangers. I just wonder how they long they can keep coming up with these awesome endings! Well...I hope they do! Best show on TV right now!

In this latest episode, Mohinder and Sylar (posing as Zane Taylor) went to visit a new HERO who had a super-hearing ability. As was expected, Sylar took off her head and took her ability, but not without a pounding headache afterwards. Serves him right. Unfortunately, Mohinder is still in the dark.

Matt Parkman got his wife in trouble with the diamond ring that he gave her. She tried to take it back to a jeweler and was told it was worth $40,000. Matt showed his wife the rest of the diamonds, but before he could take them back to the precinct, he was called by Ted Sprague (Mr. Radioactive). He met up with Ted and Wireless, a new HERO with the ability to hack into any satellite or Internet connection, and formed a plan to get some answers.

Hiro caught up with Ando, who finally realized that Hope, his "damsel-in-distress," was a phony. Without knowing it, Hiro stopped the bullet that Hope had aimed at him. He's still got some of his powers! At the end of this part with Hiro and Ando, Hiro said goodbye to his friend and boarded a bus for Las Vegas. Is this the last we will see of Ando?

While Isaac Mendez painted the future in hopes of finding Peter Petrelli, Peter was training with Claude. Peter stopped a stick in mid-air, stopped a tazer gun, and even flew off with Claude in his arms. As Claude wanted, Peter did things unexpectedly. But now Claude is angry at Peter for bringing his old enemy H.R.G. into the picture. Claude left Peter to fend for himself, and Peter went back to see Isaac about putting H.R.G onto his and Claude's trail. A fight soon started with Peter's newfound powers in full swing - from invisibility to telekinesis. When Isaac fired the gun, though, it didn't hit Peter but Simone. She fell down into Peter's arms and drew her last breath.

Claire's mother, who has been memory-wiped numerous times, started to truly lose her memory of all things - from her family to Mr. Muggles, her dog. Eventually, she ended up in the hospital with brain hemorrhaging. Claire finally confronted her "father" about his horrible plan of continuous memory-wiping to her mother. H.R.G. now knows the truth - that Claire's mind was never memory-wiped. This confrontation was one of the best moments of the episode.

But it was nothing compared to the cliffhanger ending! With Matt Parkman joining Ted Sprague and Wireless, the three of them showed up in H.R.G.'s house with an anger for revenge, a gun in hand, and a desperate need for answers. Only next week will tell if they get them or not.

For now, enjoy the trailer of this week's episode - UNEXPECTED

What would it be like to interview God? What questions would you ask Him? How would He answer? Well, someone asked those questions and wrote an inspirational poem about that very topic. Along with beautiful pictures of God's Creation, The Interview With God website presents this poem to inspire and light up its viewers. So listen in and learn some things about God and yourself in The Interview With God.

Emily, My Friend

Ever since middle school, Emily and I have been the best of friends. At first, we didn't really hang out at all. But then there was a time in 5th or 6th grade when we just hit it off. We've been great friends ever since. Through high school and now through college, we still remain. Even though she does not go to college as I do, we still stay in touch. She's a great friend who's been there for me through a lot. And now that we are entering the stage of dating in the hopes of tying the knot, we are still close.

Thanks, Em! It's been a great life with you around. Can't wait to have a mansion by you in heaven some day! We can hang out for eternity!

Goodbye, My Friend

Just recently I had to say goodbye to a good friend of mine. We had been talking through e-mail correspondence, but some of his views and such were not good. A year ago I would have shared a lot about my life with him, but recently it started to dwindle. I didn't want to share as much, so I said goodbye. Whenever I think about it, though, I am saddened. We had some good times. I wish we could go back to that, but I would be going against my heart. I just pray that his life is blessed and that his eyes are opened to the places in his life that he really needs to take a second look at. So...goodbye, my friend.
