"For Where Your Treasure Is...

...there your heart will be also!" (Matthew 6:21) Today at church, my pastor taught about treasure. Your treasure will direct your heart, and your heart will direct your life. So where is your treasure laid up? In earthly things or in the eternal joys of God? All that we see is temporary. All of it will either fade away with time, decay, be destroyed, or be stolen. But what can't be stolen away is the joy we have in Jesus, the love we share with others, the forgiveness and peace we hold within us, and an eternal, everlasting relationship with the Father. Our treasure is what we spend the most time with whether it be TV, the Internet, or even friends and family. All of these things can be at the core of our lives, be our treasure. But the real treasure is Jesus Christ!
