American Idol TOP 6 & DOUBLE KickOFF

This week on American Idol was all about Bon Jovi! I had never really heard of Bon Jovi before, but after this week I listened to some of his music, and I have got to say that I just love the song "You Give Love A Bad Name!" Blake Lewis sang this song this week, and I loved his rendition, but it is true that the original is so much better! But Blake still rocked!

Anyway... about this week...

(1) Phil Stacey - Blaze of Glory - Randy said that he loved it and it was his best performance other than Country Week; Paula said that it was the best opening they'd had all season; and Simon said that it had no authenticity and was like he was a bad actor playing a role, and he said that it would not be enough to last him until next week.

(2) Jordin Sparks - Living on a Prayer - Randy said that the verses were rough for her but the choruses sounded good when she hit the high notes; Paula said that she went for it even though it was out of her range and comfort zone; and Simon said that she looked like she was from the Adams Family and the singing was terrible and on the verge of shrieking.

(3) LaKisha Jones - This Ain't A Love Song - Randy said that she blew it out of the box and the old LaKisha is finally back; Paula said that gave a little somethin' somethin'; and Simon said, "I could actually kiss you right now," and he did! After Simon had kissed her, he said that she had risen to the challenge and had nailed it!

(4) Blake Lewis - You Give Love A Bad Name - MY FAVORITE!!! Randy said that it was the most original version of a song ever done on AI; Paula said that he took a big leap of faith and it was amazing; and Simon said that he was brave, took a risk, half will hate and half will love, but he'll be there next week.

(5) Chris Richardson - Wanted Dead or Alive - Randy said that he made it his own and he like the performance; Paula said that it was a great night and he did his thing; and Simon said that he did as much as he could since it wasn't his style.

(6) Melinda Doolittle - Have A Nice Day - Randy said that it wasn't her best but she did great and sounded like a young Tina Turner with attitude; Paula said that she was a rocker; and Simon said that she was like a young Tina Turner and was in a different league from everyone else.

This week was the sweetest week so far! I loved it! Phil rocked it out of the park! LaKisha is finally back! I've missed her! Blake was so SWEET!!! Chris was good! And Melinda was, of course, good! Jordin was the only real disappointment. But, oh well, can't win them all!

DOUBLE KickOFF

This week there were two contenstants that had to leave because last week was the charity week. The KickOFF for this week was pretty predictable. Goodbye to Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson! Now we are down to the TRUE TOP 4!!! Can't wait till next week!
