HEROES: "The Hard Part"

In this new episode, Sylar, who has just finished killing Isaac Mendez, paints a picture of the future with Ted Sprague and himself. Sylar sees that he will take Sprague's power and then blow up New York. Not wanting to kill innocent people, he calls up Mohinder Suresh for advice, but then thinks better of it and calls his mother instead. As he gets ready to visit his mother, Hiro and Ando arrive at Mendez's apartment to see that Isaac is dead. Sylar then comes out of the bathroom and hears the heartbeats of Hiro and Ando as they hide behind a painting. Before Sylar can discover who they are, Hiro teleports himself and Ando out of there. They then follow Sylar to his mother's apartment. Sylar asks his mother why he has to be special, and she tells him that she can see that he is destined for so much more. He tries to deny it, but then he shows her some of his abilities. He goes to far and scares her, so she demands that he leave. She pulls out large scissors and points them at him. He tries to wrestle them away from her, but in the process, he stabs his own mother. At this time Ando tells Hiro that he has a chance to stop Sylar, but Hiro is still hesitant, so Ando tells Hiro that Sylar kills him. Hiro then stops time, pulls out his sword, and swings it down on Sylar. Sylar somehow unfreezes time and holds Hiro's sword in his ice-cold grip. Hiro and Ando quickly teleport out of there only to discover that Hiro's sword is now broken in two. Back at his mother's apartment, Sylar uses her blood to paint a picture of New York exploding. Sylar embraces his dark destiny.

Mohinder Suresh meets up with Mr. Bennet's boss to discuss the new partnership. Suresh makes it very clear that he will not be working for him but rather the other way around. The boss will tell him everything he knows about Sylar, so that Suresh can stop him. Suresh is taken to meet a girl named Molly Walker, who's parents were killed by Sylar. She now has a disease that is eating up her nervous system and stopping the use of her power, which is that she can think about someone and instantly know where they are. Suresh begins to work on a cure and in the process he discovers that his sister Shanti had the same disease. The cure would have been him, but he was born too late to save his sister. So, Suresh draws some of his blood and gives it to Molly. Now she will be cured and be able to find Sylar.

Jessica/Nikki and D.L. go in search of their son Micah in Las Vegas. They find that Linderman has been keeping tabs on their entire life. They also find a picture in which Micah is standing atop a burning building. Micah, on the other hand, is in the company of the Shape Shifter / Illusionist girl. He tries to escape, but she tricks him into returning back to his room.

Claire starts to prepare to leave for Paris, but Peter Petrelli stops her and tells her that he is the bomb and she needs to stay in New York to save the world. She tells him of Ted Sprague and his radioactive/nuclear power. The two of them then tell Nathan of Ted, and through their talk, Claire discovers that her father has a flying ability. After Claire and Peter leave the office, Nathan calls Linderman and says that they have a problem. Nathan then has a talk with Mr. Bennet's boss, which Peter and Claire happen to see. The boss tells Nathan that the bomb must happen as planned. Even Nathan's mother tells Nathan to have faith that the bomb will bring about healing, unity, and Nathan's rise in power. Later that day, Peter shows Claire some of his drawings of the bomb and even one of Ted Sprague. The two of them then go looking for Ted, and they find him, Mr. Bennet, and Matt Parkman. The trio came to New York to shut down Linderman's tracking systems. Claire is reunited with her father, but all does not end well. With Ted Sprague in the vicinity, Peter Petrelli absorbs his ability and his hands light up with radioactive power. He looks to Claire for help.
