Podcast with David Sifry (Technorati)

Ever heard of Technorati? Well, if you haven't, you now have the chance to listen to a podcast with David Sifry, the creator of Technorati. He discusses the use of Blogs, his creation called Technorati, and other Entrepreneurial concepts.

What is Technorati?

Technorati deals with the World Live Web. And what is the World Live Web? The World Live Web is the part of the Web that is active, constantly updating, and always changing. The World Live Web is adding information every day, every hour, and every second to the Web. Technorati is a service that searches this World Live Web for new and exciting blogs so they can organize and categorize them. Technorati also looks for other independent content like videos, photos, ect. throughout the World Live Web. This sort of content is referred to as “citizen media.” Technorati knows and keeps track of all of the new user-generated content that is being put out onto the World Live Web so that people can view it and see for themselves all of the new content that is out there.

In the podcast, David Sifry talks about himself and how he was born a computer geek. He got his first computer when he was nine and started computer consulting when he was only sixteen. Since then he has started four companies and had big successes and big failures. The reason he gets up in the morning is to be of service, which is why he created Technorati. The reason for starting Technorati was for those who are creating and building stuff so that they could connect with their partners and even find out more about their competition.

Continuing on in the podcast, David Sifry talks about how Technorati started, its purpose, its mission, the people involved, the services provided, and much more. He also talks about blogs and his experiences with entrepreneurship. This podcast is a great thing to check out to learn more about the World Live Web, David Sifry, Technorati, Entrepreneurship, Blogs, and much more.
